Charles, Harrel, and David make up The Torn Curtain Ministries, along with their new drummer, Allen Pendleton. Growing up as Southern Baptist preacher’s kids, the two brothers, Charles and Harrel, undoubtedly were instilled daily with church music and Biblical teachings. They both asked Christ into their lives at early ages, but really didn’t get on fire about what God had in store for them until later in their teenage years. Slowly, the Owens brothers started leading worship for various youth groups and church congregations after overcoming the initial shock of actually playing their music in front of people.

After bouncing around from church to church under their dad’s pastoral ministry, Charles and Harrel Owens relocated to Somerville, AL where they teamed up with David Sharp and Drew Colee, which is the other half of The Torn Curtain. David and Drew also had similar backgrounds of becoming Christians at early ages and leading worship for youth groups. After meeting up and practicing for the first time, the formation of The Torn Curtain was like a “Match made in Heaven.”
