“The sheer range of style and excellency of every number demonstrated talents and skills placing Link among our foremost musical craftsmen. By evening’s end any spirit that hasn’t been uplifted should be checked for consciousness.” – Carolyn Rollin Albert, Singles Almanac

“Peter Link has written a score that mixes to beautiful effect country-western strains with a pop sensibility and even soaring melodic lines reminiscent of opera. What listeners will comment on is the richness and effectiveness of the score…” – By Andy Propst, Americantheatreweb.com

“On his journey through life, Peter Link, takes us to some colorful stops along the way. His songs and singing style strike chords of sensitivity and emotion for hearers young and old. Moods portrayed so realistically, by Link range from quiet reflection to anxiety, to playfulness and joy. This is a CD that is sure to get a lot of play.” — Carol Jay, York, NY

Music and Lyrics
by Peter Link

Thru Me, a compilation of favorite songs written over the last twenty years, was produced, orchestrated and sung by the composer. Taken from both his work in the theater and from his own personal experience, the styles range from theatrical to pop.

Here are some of Peter’s thoughts on “For The Birds” from his blog, Sparks from the Fire:

“For five years my wife and I had a house at 9000 feet in the mountains of Colorado.  With relatively few neighbors, (I say relatively few because here in NYC we have 10 million) we lived on 5 unmolested acres of wooded land in a mountain paradise, in a house of picture windows, each one framing a gorgeous shot of the mountains that surrounded us.  Bear, elk, fox, deer and other various animal folk visited our yard every morning.  We had bear claw scratches on our wooden deck and outer door frames.  Fun for a couple of New Yorkers who visited regularly.

I had a second recording studio there that also looked out on nature and all its glories and my wife, Julia, ringed the house with bird feeders so that we were a regular mall for birds.  Instead of waking up in the morning to buses and sirens and NYC, we woke to the songs of birds … So this song is for the birds…”
