Listen to the Music!

This melodious setting of Mary Baker Eddy’s The Daily Prayer is a perfect way to start your day. The extended instrumental introduction’s emotive strings will calm your thoughts into a peaceful state of meditation—the perfect frame of mind for prayer—and Julia Wade’s gorgeous rendition of these familiar words, underscored with acoustic guitar, will inspire your soul. Peter Link adds: “I wrote this version when I was in my 30’s and re-learned it on my Martin D-35S acoustic guitar especially for this recording. Now, when I pray the Daily Prayer, the song is always there, in the back of my mind, like an old friend.” We hope that you, too, will make a new friend in this song! This is one of eleven spiritually-themed tracks composed by Peter Link off Julia’s thirteenth album Sunday Morning, which also features 2 other well-known sacred songs.

  2. Very calming and beautiful

    1. Thanks so much for listening, Carole! <3

  3. As a former band leader and talent agent, I would have been convinced that such a task of inputting The Daily Prayer to a musical piece would be awkward. There must have been prayer applied to get the tone and outcome of the words to work. The result does work very well.

    1. Thank you, Bill. Coming from a musician, that’s a true compliment indeed! Grateful to ya’!
