Listen to the Music!
Julia Wade, accompanied by violin and acoustic guitar, transports us to a key moment in the life of Jesus through Peter Link’s song The Palms this week. It describes what it must have been like to be one of the thousands of witnesses along the road to Jerusalem the day that Jesus passed by, riding on the colt of a donkey. The refrain centers on the palm branches—an ancient symbol of triumph and peace—that were waved by those along the way in support of the great Master, and laid in front of him along the dusty road. This song is from Julia’s album Story for the Ages, a timeless collection of beautiful songs reflecting upon the life, times, and teachings of Christ Jesus. There is also sheet music available for this solo, which can be found by clicking here.
