Listen to the Music!

As our love-themed inspirational song selections for this month nears its end, we’re shaking up the musical mood (but not the message) with Mindy Jostyn’s jaunty, bluesy, “one-woman band” rendition of Love One Another. This cherished hymn is reborn in Mindy’s voice, with her alternating between playing the harmonica and singing, along with claps and foot stomps thrown in for good measure. Mindy’s joyful interpretation of these words emphasizes the sheer joy that sharing love with our fellow humans can bring, and we encourage all to partake in this universal fountain, whether through gestures big or small, this week. This song is from Watchfire Music’s compilation album Songs of Love, and can also be found on Mindy’s album In His Eyes, a wonderful collection of 16 non-denominational folk hymns produced by Mindy and Matt Balitsaris and flavored with musical influences from around the world, featuring Mindy’s expressive vocals and her command of violin, accordion, keyboard, guitar and harmonica.

  1. Infectious in its joy! Even though its jazzy it has spiritual dignity and immaculate diction. Love the harmonica and a capella singing!
