Prime Mover

Prime Mover

Music & Lyrics by Rod Kinny

Watching tide pools, by the lakeside, tunneling ‘neath the sand
Ominous clouds, in the distance, gliding in towards the land
All the creatures, seeking shelter, fully tuned to the sky
Wild flowers, in the canyon, bending up toward the light

Prime mover, shifting silently, so we two can be, where the earth meets
the sky

Early morning, as the day breaks, touch the mist in the dawn
There’s a feeling, as the wind blows, of the cool in the calm
A dog’s eye view, across the water, blending gray into blue
Under ash trees, feel the pulse beat, as the wisdom flows through

Prime mover, shifting silently, so we two can be, where the earth meets
the sky

The indigenous way is knowing
They belong to the land and care for all living things
They are in tune with the earth
Removed from the ways of conquest
They serve as a reminder of our true selves

(Chorus)
