Margaret Dorn is an award-winning singer, composer, arranger, keyboard player and producer whose work spans the recording industry, film soundtracks, television, commercials, theater, touring, industrials, night clubs and the concert stage. Her songs have been recorded by such artists as Karen Carpenter, Hiromi Ota, the Sweet Inspirations and Melba Moore. She has sung with many artists including Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Jennifer Lopez, Lionel Richie, Boz Scaggs, Donald Fagen, Jessica Simpson, Garth Brooks, k.d. lang, Willie Nelson, Barry Manilow, Michael McDonald, Tayor Dayne, Donny Osmond, Diana Ross, Rosanne Cash and the Chieftains.
Most recently, Margaret has written the score for a new musical, “Faraway Bayou”, and a revue, “Women Of A Certain Age”. She is the leader of The Accidentals, the elegantly eclectic a cappella group. They have released four albums, won numerous awards (3 MAC Awards, Back Stage Bistro Award, 3 CARA Awards and the National Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Championship) and captivated audiences from coast to coast. Margaret has also been a featured collaborator with the legendary vocal group The Manhattan Transfer
Margaret has been musical director for many shows, her favorite being the wonderfully original “Downtown Messiah”, which ran for six years at The Bottom Line in NYC.
