A Composer is an individual who generates sheet music.  A Composer can also be an Artist (who records their music) as well, but then they would always be listed as both.  Composers will be found related to Digital Sheet Music (DSM).

A Profile is an in depth look at an Artist or Composer — their Products, their Bio, their Quotes, and anything else about them that can help you get to know them. Think of a Profile as the portal to the work of any given Artist or Composer.

An Artist is an individual who generates recorded music (a CD, an Album).  An Artist can also be a Composer (who generates sheet music) as well, but then they would always be listed as both.  An Artist is normally the principle contributor to the work (CD, Single, Album) and can be the Lead Vocalist in many cases, the Pianist or Guitarist often in the case of an Instrumental work, or even the Producer who works more in the background, but is the  primary artistic force behind the work.   Artists will be found related to Albums/CDs.

We define Inspirational music as music that brightens your life and enlivens your soul.  It is positive value music whose purpose is to uplift thought.  It can be both sacred and secular.  We like to say that if the song says, “I woke up this morning and I feel good!” — that’s an inspirational song.  A purely instrumental (no voice or lyrics) can also be an Inspirational song if it is uplifting in some fashion.

We suggest the following:  First start with the Nav Bar (Navigation Bar).  That’s the bar across the top of any page that says things like Home, About, Shop, Services, etc.  Click on the various subjects and explore what comes up.  Often a window will appear below the Subject which gives you further specifics of the main Subject.  Click on each and go the the relative page and explore.  Run down the the Nav Bar from left to right and check out all the delights of WFM (Watchfire Music).  Especially, check out “Shop Info” on the Nav Bar and discover powerful new ways to search and find Inspirational Music! Spend an hour or even a couple of half hours exploring and you’ll quickly get the hang of it.  It’s a little like wandering through a new department store except that you can do it from the comfort of your favorite easy chair.

If you purchase a CD (shippable hard goods) product, it is the best quality of music available to the public today — a 16 bit aiff file.  If the Samples you listen to on the internet and the songs you downloaded were all 16 bit aiff files, the wait time for the music to load into the internet players and download to your computers and phones would be so long that people (who all seem to now be in such a hurry) would never wait for the loading process.  So … in the interest of speed, the quality of the the 16 bit aiff file is converted down to a more Low Res version of the original.  Somebody named this an MP3.  Most people can’t tell the difference.  If you’re one who can, and prefer a better fidelity, buy the CD.

Scientific pitch notation is a system that assigns a name to each natural pitch based on the octave they are found in. We use this system to describe the note range of our digital sheet music. The chart below can help you decipher this system:

Note: The original source of the following information is VocalSheetMusic.net and can be found here

Pitch Names in Scientific Pitch Notation

The chart below lists the natural pitches and their corresponding pitch names for the range of pitches most commonly encountered in vocal music. These correspond to the high and low pitches listed for each piece. Use this as a guide to determine whether a piece is within your vocal range. Note that although only natural pitches are included, you can easily use this to determine flat and sharp pitches as well.

In the left column of your product pages you will find 3 categories to check followed by 6 fields to Filter.  Filtering is simply a process of what you choose to include in your search and conversely what you choose NOT to include.

If you’re looking for sheet music, for instance, check the Digital Sheet Music category and then you can search by Enter a Product Title here …,

Composers, (not Artists — Artists generate Recorded Music)

Lyricists, the Biblical Source Origin (DSM) ((Digital Sheet Music))

Key Versions (DSM) of the song.

Keep it simple.  and when you can’t connect using one filter, click “Clear Filters” and start again.
