Falling In

Music and Lyrics by Désiréé Goyette

Falling in, falling in, falling in
To the arms of…

Once you’ve read everything that can been said
Of how the wounded heart can find its way back home
And once you’ve heard every sage’s sacred word
Of how to make a start, instead of roaming in the dark
It’s time to stop…. and quiet the voices of doubt from long ago
Breathe … knowing the One Divine is in control
And see yourself

Falling into the arms of God, floating out of the night
Freely able to see yourself fully in the Light
Falling into the arms of God, feeling Spirit’s grace
Falling in, falling in, falling into the arms of God

All the good throughout all eternity
Forever pulses at the point of you and me
And all the truth you could ever need to know
Is at your beck and call, knowing Love is All in all
So let’s just stop … and quiet the voices of doubt from long ago
Breathe … allowing the One Divine to know that you know
And see yourself

Falling into the arms of God, floating out of the night
Freely able to see yourself fully in the Light
Falling into the arms of God, feeling Spirit’s grace
Falling in, falling in, falling into the arms of God

Right now!
We can rest assured in the heart of The Divine
Right here!
For the arms of The Divine are truly yours and mine

Alfie

Music and Lyrics by Burt Bacharach and Hal David

What’s it all about, alfie?
Is it just for the moment we live?
What’s it all about when you sort it out, alfie?
Are we meant to take more than we give
Or are we meant to be kind?
And if only fools are kind, alfie,
Then I guess it’s wise to be cruel.
And if life belongs only to the strong, alfie,
What will you lend on an old golden rule?
As sure as I believe there’s a heaven above, alfie,
I know there’s something much more,
Something even non-believers can believe in.
I believe in love, alfie.
Without true love we just exist, alfie.
Until you find the love you’ve missed you’re nothing, alfie.
When you walk let your heart lead the way
And you’ll find love any day, alfie, alfie.

Stars

Music and Lyrics by Ed Bogas

Stars, millions and billions of stars
Each one impossibly large
Many larger than even our sun
We’re surrounded by miracles every day
We are witness to wonder every way that we turn

Atoms, billions and trillions of atoms
Each one impossibly small
Yet they make up every star
We’re surrounded by miracles every night
We are witness to wonder as we stand in the light

Forces, some that draw us together
Others that drive us apart
Some that we measure with numbers
Others we feel with our hearts
And our minds, that reach so very far
Measuring the distance to a star
Wondering why things rise and fall
And the meaning of it all

Souls, millions and billions of souls
Each one impossibly whole
Searching for meaning and truth
We’re made up of miracles
We’re part of a universe of miracles
The wonder and the wonderer are one
We’re one

I Am

Music by Désirée Goyette
Lyrics: Désirée Goyette

I am Love’s child only reflecting light
Far from illusion I live never to dwell in night
One eternal day holy, sacred, pure
I am the child of “I Am” and one with Love, I am whole

Flowing unified each of us held inside
Love’s all-inclusive embrace, Outstretched, eternal, wide
Trusting we receive only what Mind conceives
We are what Truth know we are and one in Love, we are whole.

Does an Ant Have a Soul?

Music and Lyrics by Ed Bogas

Does an ant have a soul? If it crawls on your sleeve
Do you pause to inquire, “What do you believe?”
In the depths of its hill, perhaps Level Seven
Do the ants congregate and talk about heaven?
Do the ants have a Scripture, and was there a Schism?
Do they favor New Thought or Fundamentalism?
Do the ants sing aloud, right from their hearts
In contrapuntal harmony of one hundred parts?
Or are they merely machines who live in a hole?
What do you think? Does an ant have a soul?

Does a tree have a soul, those that tower above?
Do they think, do they feel, do they know how to love?
Are they their own cathedrals that rise to the sky?
Can they live all those years and never ask why
The animals come and go, like the mist on the dawn
While they stay where they are, living on and on?
Do the trees have a Scripture, and was there a Schism?
Do they favor New Thought or Fundamentalism?
Do they sing with the wind? Do they subtly speak
Thoughts so profound that one hymn takes a week?
Or they just wood, rooted down in a hole?
What do you think? Does a tree have a soul?

Does your enemy have a soul? Is the answer just No?
Can there be any good in a creature so low?
Is he the scum of the earth, nothing but bad,
Out to steal everything that you’ve ever had?
A thing of pure evil, all minus, no plus?
Must we do it to him before he does it to us?
Or is there something inside him that will answer a call:
Something you two have in common after all?
But if you try to reach out, will he cut you in two?
Is he just a machine (can that really be true?)
Who dwells in the ground like a half-human mole?
What do you think? Does your enemy have a soul?

Do you have a soul? Is the answer just Yes?
Or is your soul just a dream of your consciousness?
The answer’s not in a book that’s been written as yet
And you can’t look it up on the Internet
And your ego doesn’t know, nor does your pride
It might be wise to inquire of someone outside
So what would be said by the towering tree,
Or the ant on your sleeve, or your enemy?
They might be more inclined to opine that you do
If you tried to find out if they had one too
But if you sail through this life on your own private sea
Then I’ll never know you and you’ll never know me
And we’ll always be pieces instead of a whole

And we’ll never find out who has a soul

Does an ant have a soul?
Does a tree have a soul?
Does your enemy have a soul?
Do you have a soul?

I Can Live With That

Music and Lyrics by Ed Bogas

To err is, to err is human
Mistakes are made every day
Should I move forward, go backward,
Stay in-between?

But if I must err,
Let it be on the side of kindness
Let it be on the side of forgiveness
I can live with that
I can live with that

To doubt is, to doubt is human
Confusion reigns every day
Am I too selfish, too giving,
Too in-between?

But if I must doubt,
Let it be on the side of kindness
Let it be on the side of compassion
I can live with that
I can live with that

Plant A Seed

Music and Lyrics by Désirée Goyette

Plant a seed, watch it grow right where fear and anger live
And the walls loom high
Shine a light on the soil of forgiveness
Where we all live and move beneath the same sweet sky
Watch the night return to day
As the gentle wind of wisdom blows the boundaries all away
And we’ll find we have all the Love we need
And it all begins when we plant a seed

Patient earth, bathe our hands in the wisdom of your love
Which has waited so long
For our hearts to awake from the dream of separation
Believing wrong is right and right is wrong
Watch the night return to day
As the gentle wind of wisdom blows the boundaries all away
And we’ll find we have all the Love we need
And it all begins when we plant a seed

No turning back to the pages of regret
Where the list of pain and sorrow just goes on
Right here, right now, we can forgive and forget
We can put the past behind us
No more bitterness to blind us

There’s a field where each soul is invited to the dance
Of eternal peace
Meet me there, open-armed, reunited and we’ll
Water the soil with the tears of our release
Just one seed can turn the tide
Bursting with the hope that still humanity abides
Hearts are healed, souls are fed, spirits freed
And it all begins when we plant a seed
And it all begins when we plant a seed

Let It Go
Désirée Goyette
© 2010 Lightchild Publishing (BMI)

Let it go, let it go
It was never, ever really a part of you
Seems so real, yet beyond the smoke
You’ve the power to recognize what’s false, what’s true
Through the fiery flame of doubt
Let Love’s light lead you out
And let it go, let it go, let it go

Say farewell to the hallway of hell
Where we wait and wonder how it came to this
Just one spark can erase the dark
And where we’re going pulls us out from where we’ve been
Through the fiery flame of fear
Comes the Truth that guides us back from there to here
So let it go, let it go, let it go

You’re growing tired of yesterday
Sorrows dancing ‘round in circles to the same old song
Hoping they’ll just let us go, hoping they’ll stay away
Yet we’re the ones who keep holding on

So let it go, let it go
Rising up beyond the ashes of desire
To be in the light of eternal might
Where you’ll never even smell the trace of fire
See the past through Wisdom’s eyes
As a blessing in disguise
Just let it go, let it go, let it go

Joy And Delight

Music and Lyrics by Désirée Goyette

As I behold the wonder of Love
The richness of Love’s presence
My heart is filled with gratitude
For all the heav’nly gifts we’re given
Everywhere I look I find
The evidence of Spirit
A song of freedom, sweet, divine
Singing through each day, can you hear it?

In times of trouble, doubt or fear
I reaffirm Love’s presence
I know a brilliance, loud and clear
Shines a light right through the darkness
No matter what the circumstance
Whatever situation
Love has taught my soul to dance
And life unfolds as Love’s celebration

Joy and delight, joy and delight
Joy and delight, utter joy and delight
Joy and delight, joy and delight
Joy and delight, utter joy and delight!

You see, whatever’s appearing on the lens of your consciousness
Right now you have the power to change your perspective
What does Love see? What does Love do? How does Love feel?

If you can sense the joy I’ve found
Receiving all Love’s giving
Come together, gather ‘round
And taste the heav’n on earth we’re living
Everywhere we look we’ll find
The key to liberation
Leave the chain of pain behind
And join me in the sweet jubilation!

Joy and delight, joy and delight
Joy and delight, utter joy and delight
Joy and delight, joy and delight
Joy and delight, utter joy and delight
Joy, joy and delight
Oh, joy and delight!

I’m talking about joy – joy and delight
Get rid of that old script
And breathe in joy!

Nuestro Dios

Music and Lyrics by Désirée Goyette

Nuestro Dios es Todo en todo
Nuestro Dios es solo amor
Y nosotros somos los hijos
Somos los hijos del Creador

Y andamos en la luz
Instrumentos de la paz
Nuestro Dios es Todo en todo
Somos perfectos y nada mas

Nuestro Dios nos ha bendecido
Con salud y bienestar
Y nos tiene en Su corazon
Para todo la éternidad

Y vivimos en harmonia
Sin enfermedad o dolor
Y con Cristo somos hermanos
Somos hermanos de Amor

Nuestro Dios es Madre y Padre
Y nos dice que todo esta bien
Y bailamos en el cielo
Y cantamos, “Amen”

What Will We Leave Behind?

Music and Lyrics by Désirée Goyette

Spinning around in space
Everything in its place
Heavenly bodies held in an unseen embrace
Just like a state of grace

Child of pure desire
Born of celestial fire
Galaxies rise and fall in the skies
And the stars leave a legacy of light
To behold by ages yet untold

And what will leave?
What will our footprints leave behind?
Will they whisper we’ve been kind
Or will they shout that we’ve been blind
To what the stars say, even as their light begins to fade
“I am he light, I am one with the Light
As the rays are one with the sun”
What will leave behind when we’re done?

Any amount of talk
Can never turn back the clock
Passively sleeping, happily keeping my nest
Away from the world’s unrest

Yet Truth sings her plaintive song
Urging me gently on
Waking my heart to knowing that I am a part
Of where the healing starts

And what will leave?
What will our footprints leave behind?
Will they whisper we’ve been kind
Or will they shout that we’ve been blind
To what the stars say, even as their light begins to fade
“I am the light, I am one with the Light
As the rays are one with the sun”
What will we leave behind
As the ages unwind?
What will we leave behind when we’re done?
