This sweet song has found its way into the hearts, voices and ears of so many great singers and musicians since it was introduced by Judy Garland in the 1944 film, Meet Me In St. Louis.

I love it so much because it has a melancholy yet hopeful and expectant tone and is so consistent with my sincerest sentiment for everyone this and every season. It is only made more special here by the exquisitely beautiful piano playing of one of my most esteemed friends and colleagues, Bradford Ross.

Lyrics

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
(Martin/Blane) Arr. B.Ross/L.Williams

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, let your hearts be light
From now on our troubles will be out of sight.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas, make the Yuletide gay
From now on our troubles will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more.

Through the years we all will be together if the Lord allows
And til then we’ll have to muddle through somehow
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now.
