Omnipresence

Helen Ezell  •  Digital Sheet Music

$0.99$6.95

Traditional music of moderate difficulty. An active accompaniment with a “chatty” melody line, so good diction is needed to get these outstanding words across. Musically reminiscent of Avelyn Kerr and Harmony Music publications. Words by Edna Wise West from the Christian Science Sentinel. Helen Ingle Ezell. ©2008 SLVivace.

Lyrics

Omnipresence
Words: Edna Wise West
Music: Helen Ingle Ezell

How can I be alone when daily, hourly,
I know that God’s dear love companions me,
How can I lack when infinite provision,
Immutable, enfolds me constantly!
How can I sorrow when His joy is instant
To stem the tide of grief, the anguished tear;
Or fear the morrow, When in glad fulfillment
I see His sure unerring plan appear!
How can I suffer pain? In sweet compassion
Love’s liberating law awaits to bless,
Swift to assuage all ill, and calmly, gently,
Encircles me in healing tenderness.
Then praising and rejoicing, daily, hourly,
I find myself with omnipresence one,
Child of the kingdom, heritage unchallenged,
Forever Father, and forever son!
How can I be alone when daily, hourly,
I know that God’s dear love companions me!
