Lyrics

Praise (My Voice Shalt Thou Hear in the Morning, O Lord)
Text from Psalm 5, arr. E. Mary Elizabeth Smart

“My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord”
As I lift up my face to Thy light.
All creation revealed in Thee in accord
Shall praise Thee, extolling Thy might.

For now are the shadows of night swept away;
Love’s hues are bright in the morn.
The irradiance of Spirit creates a new day;
Faith, hope and love are reborn.

And true understanding has dawned on mankind;
No more shall its light be concealed.
The glorious power of infinite Mind
Breaks earth’s dream, and heaven is revealed!

“My voice shalt Thou hear in the morning, O Lord,”
With gratitude deep will I sing.
Thy creation is perfect, O be Thou adored,
Through infinite heaven praises ring!
