River of Life
A river is born where frozen thoughts commune, where frozen thoughts commune with the sunlight of Soul. And when the mist has risen and gone, a great river shines from the throne of God to the darkest
shadows of life. And that river pioneers in the mountains, making rough places plain, carving paths in my stone-jawed clay. And everything lives where the river flows, fields of mem’ry debris, and washing
them green, and washing them green. And the river flows to my desert, to withered hope bringing freshness and fruit. Blest river and desert in bloom. O a great river shines from the throne of God to the
mountains and fields of my thought. And the leaves of the tree by the river are for healing the sick and sad. And the leaves of the tree by the river are for healing, blest river of Life, of Life, of Life.
