So good is God, we need not fear to trust Him.
He will requite the faithful, loving heart.
No child of His has ever been forsaken
Or left bewildered in a world apart.
God sent His Son to help us in our journey
From sense to Soul, from darkness into light,
And when we lift our thinking nearer heaven
His goodness dawns upon our inward sight.
“I am the Way,” assured our loving Master,
And we must pass beneath his guiding rod;
But never has he bruised a lamb, or touched it
Except to lead it home, so good is God.
