Beneath the Shadow [Out of Print]
How excellent is Thy loving kindness, O God! How excellent is Thy loving kindness; Therefore the children of men Put their trust under the shadow of Thy wings. Beneath the shadow of His mighty wing! So spake His servant, while she sought to bring The healing Presence, bidding those who rove To the sweet comfort of His arms of Love. Beneath the shadow! Burning suns may pour Their madd’ning heat through out the noonday hour. Out in the open, mortal sense may scream, Piercing the seeming stillness of earth’s dream. But in the quiet shelter and the shade Beneath the shadow, None need be afraid. His mighty wing! No meager scant caress, Widespread, far-reaching, harm-proof, big to bless! Comfort in anguish, hope for all forlorn, Dismissing mortal fears that wake with morn. Ah! Gone each weight of woe when we can sing Beneath the shadow of His mighty wing. Ah! Gone each weight of woe when we can sing Beneath the shadow of His mighty wing.
