A little act of kindness, A word of hope and cheer, A friendly hand of welcome, With a heart sincere; Charity, compassion, Aid for those who stray, Bring a richer blessing, Joy for ev’ry day. Sympathy in trouble, Help in time of need; Shelter for the weary, Gracious thought or deed; Clouds will then be sunshine, Shadows then depart; Love will ease the burden, Cheer the lonely heart. In the hour of sorrow, Faith will banish care; Fearing not the morrow, Lift your heart in prayer. Strength renewed will then be given, God’s own blessing from above; Trust in His divine compassion And His great, eternal Love.
