Woke up this morning with a song in my heart,
Wondered why such had come to me
To put down on paper and to sing for the world
To stay with it, to grow with it
To share it with all that might choose to hear
Some will listen some will turn away.
Some will find their peace another day
But for those who feel its message
It’s here and will always stay.

We all have a purpose and we all have a gift
The thing that we love and do the best
We all have a reason and a blessing to give
That stays with us, that grows with us
We share it with all that might choose to see
Some will see it some will turn away
Some will find their peace another day
But for those who can see it
It’s there and will always stay

A smile that can warm you, a strong hand to hold,
A voice that can make the angels sing
We all have our own beauty
So we share our gifts so all can see, not hiding light given to us freely
We stay with it, say thanks for it
Thank God for His gifts so sweet.
