The Christ settles all questions
With a powerful “peace be still!”
Yet sometimes there seems to be
Uncertainty with many differing choices
And sometimes there seem to be
Fear and shrieking demands of many voices.
Like in the soil of silence, plants enroot deeper,
Turn to the light for livelihood,
Even so we turn to God in prayer to reflect
The light of Soul’s eternal Good.
Then silently, silently as the dews of prayer
Upon our thoughts distill,
The Christ forever settles life’s constant demands
With a powerful “peace be still!”
