Guidelines for Artist Submissions

We accept submissions from 2 kinds of musical artists; Recording Artists and Composers. If you consider yourself to be both a Recording Artist and a Composer, please submit two separate submissions.

All Submissions must be made digitally. We no longer accept snail mail submissions. Email your submission materials here at [email protected].

If your submission files are too large to submit via email, please send us a link to your materials on Google Drive (DO NOT share the folder with us, just send the link). DO NOT submit via DropBox. We will not accept your submission.

Recording Artists

A Recording Artist is an individual who creates recorded music (Digital Albums and Singles).  A Recording Artist can also be a Composer (who generates sheet music) as well, but then they would always be listed as both.  An Artist is normally the principal contributor to the work (Digital Single, Album) and can be the Lead Vocalist (in many cases), the Pianist or Guitarist (often in the case of an Instrumental work), or even the Producer who works more in the background, but is the primary artistic force behind the work.

If you are a recording artist and are interested in submitting your Digital Albums for distribution with Watchfire Music, please submit the following via email:

  1. An email cover letter introducing yourself
  2. Your professional biography
  3. Representative MP3 selections, no more than 2 per Album
  4. Your Album Cover artwork in JPEG format
  5. A list of your works (or work) to be represented
  6. A professional headshot photo

Composers

A Composer is an individual who creates sheet music.  A Composer can also be a Recording Artist (who records their music) as well, but then they would always be listed as both.

If you are a composer seeking to distribute your sheet music on Watchfire Music, please submit the following via email:

  1. An email cover letter introducing yourself
  2. Your professional biography
  3. A minimum of 6 PDF files of your sheet music titles. PDFs must be generated professionally from sheet music programs such as Finale or Sibelius. Handwritten manuscripts are not accepted, and PDFs must be published and ready for distribution.
  4. A minimum of 6 matching MP3 Audio Versions of sheet music so that we can assess your work. These can be created from MIDI files generated from your sheet music, and should include the melody line.
  5. A list of your of 6 titles as well as any other titles available for distribution in your catalogue

*Please note: We require a minimum of 6 titles in order to sign a composer. There is also an expectation that a composer’s catalogue will continue to grow over time.
