Original Song Sources

Johanna Nordhorn, featured with Josh on the duet All I Ask of You

The album is bookended by two modern classics originally from Andrea Bocelli: Fall on Me, a duet sung with his son Matteo; and Con Te Partirò, one of the most-covered songs of its release year.

Many of the other songs are beloved Broadway tunes from more contemporary shows: The Phantom of the Opera (All I Ask of You, The Music of the Night), Les Misérables (Bring Him Home, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables), Beauty and the Beast (If I Can’t Love Her), and The Little Mermaid (Her Voice)

And rounding out the album are some songs originally from film: Evermore, a song specially composed for the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast; as well as two Ennio Morricone songs: Nella Fantasia, a vocal adaptation of the instrumental theme “Gabriel’s Oboe” from The Mission, and Se, from Cinema Paradiso.
