Many times before
I been down this rocky road so long
I gave up keepin’ score
I’ve now become an expert
At handlin’ misfortune
I’ve failed an’ run amuck
An’ run right out of luck
Yet somehow, I made it through
Somehow, I finally figured it out, just what to do
I learned to look
At each of life’s adversities

She lived her life an artist born
Into the joy of creation
Each new idea
Growing from a tiny seed
Often nothing much would come
From all the plans she had
And all the time she reaped and she sowed
But they were just a stone in the road

Many times before
