In the Beginning, God

In the beginning God created heaven and earth. And God said, “Let there be light!” And there was light. And God said, “Let the waters under heaven be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. And God called the dry land earth, and the waters seas. And God saw that it was good! And God created herb yielding seed, and trees yielding fruit, and great whales and fish of the sea, and fowl of the air after his kind, and every living creature after his kind. And God saw that it was good; God saw that it was good! And God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over everything upon the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God saw everything that He had made, and behold it was very good! Thus, thus the heavens and earth were finished.
