At Bethlehem that blessed place the child of bliss now born he was and him to serve God give us grace, Alleluia, Alleluia. There came three Kings out of the East, to worship the King that is free, with gold and myrrh and frankincense, Alleluia, Alleluia. The star which they saw in the East, went before them till it came and stood over where the young child was. Alleluia, Alleluia. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flocks by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, but they were sore afraid, and the angel said unto them: Fear not: for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people, For unto us was born this day in the city of David a Savior which is Christ the Lord. All at once there was with the angel a great company of the heavenly host, singing the praises of God. Glory to God in the highest heav’n and on earth his peace for men on whom his favour rests, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
