Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, and let them pray over him, anointing him, anointing him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. Dear Father at Thy feet I kneel In consecration of Thy love, That all my thoughts and words may bear, Fair impress of things above. Dear God, I pray bestow on me The heavenly grace of charity, that like the blossom’s fragrant breath Goes forth to all, so full and free. And O, I pray, may that sweet gift, The grace with mighty pow’r from Thee Thy tender healing gentleness Be ever manifest in me. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, And the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins, If he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another And pray one for another That ye may be healed, that ye may be healed. Dear Lord, keep me so close to Thee That thought may rise in grateful prayer For Thy dear presence, peace and joy, And all the Father’s loving care. May holy inspiration deep Find echo in my quiet soul, And such anointing from Thy hand Keep me forever pure and whole, And such anointing from Thy hand Keep me forever pure and whole.
