When I Reflect

When I reflect upon the happy years, the good days, I am reminded of your loving concern for me. And so I thank you for being there, for believing in me. I will remember how you helped me grow; all the while, you were setting me free. Your faith has been my anchor, strong and sure. Your hope gives me courage to set sail in pursuit of my dreams. And when I reflect upon those days, I will remember and thank you. When I reflect upon the spirit here in this place, I am reminded of the time you invested in me. With all you’ve taught me, I will aim high, reaching far. I am not tethered by convention, I’m compelled by the moon and the stars (alternate phrase: I am not bound by limitations, I am drawn to the moon and the stars). Your faith has been my anchor, strong and sure, steadying me. Your hope gives me courage to set sail in pursuit of my dreams. And when I reflect upon these days, I will remember, I will remember, I will remember. I’ll remember you, and I will thank you. I will thank you. Thank you.
