Born in the small town of Uxbridge, MA, Nancy (Morris) Marshall grew up surrounded by music. When she was seven, she began playing piano. Seven years later she formed a band with several of her high school classmates. She’s been writing and performing since the age of 14.

At the age of 18, she was accepted to Berklee College of Music. By the time she was 22, Nancy was teaching there.

In the mid-eighties, Nancy moved to Nashville, TN. She quickly gained notice as an accomplished keyboardist/singer and songwriter. She toured with legendary performer Brenda Lee, singer/songwriter Radney Foster, and served as the opening act, performing her original songs, for MCA recording artist Lee Greenwood.

Performing at numerous Nashville venues, including the Grand Ole Opry and the Bluebird Café, Nancy’s days were often spent in the recording studio singing demos for publishing companies, singing jingles for regional and national broadcast, and serving as the featured entertainment aboard the General Jackson Showboat.

At the beginning of the millennium, Nancy moved back to New England, and rejoined the faculty at Berklee. She also reconnected with her life-long friend and producer, Rob Rose, and together they wrote and produced her latest album, Sing Praises!  The new album once again includes her two daughters and additionally, her talented son-in-law.

Nancy’s earlier recording projects include a CD of holiday favorites entitled “Merry Christmas,” where Nancy performs exciting new arrangements of Christmas hymns in a variety of styles, Country and Traditional, to Jazz, Pop, and Rock. The CD also features daughters Melodie (cello/vocals) and Mandie (vocals). Nancy also has released an Instrumental album, “Peace” featuring more great hymns with WFM artist, guitarist Bobby Stanton.

Along with her most recent full-length album release, Sing Praises!, Nancy’s latest recording is a single entitled He Is Alive in celebration of Easter!
