    What Child Is This?
    Original Melody: Greensleeves
    Lyrics by William C. Dix
Additional Music & Lyrics by Peter Link

What child is this who, laid to rest
    On Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
    While shepherds watch are keeping?

This, this is Christ the King,
    Whom shepherds guard and angels sing;
Haste, haste, to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.
Why lies He in such mean estate,
Where ox and ass are feeding?
Good Christians, fear, for sinners here
    The silent Word is pleading.

Nails, spear shall pierce Him through,
    The cross be borne for me, for you;
Hail, hail the Word made flesh,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.
What Child is this whom angels greet
This is the Christ, the king
So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh,
    Come peasant, king to own Him;
The King of kings salvation brings,
    Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise a song on high,
    The virgin sings her lullaby;
Joy, joy for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.
What Child is this whom angels greet
This is the Christ, the king
    What child is this
    On Mary’s lap lay sleeping

It’s All About Love

  • Title: It's All About Love
  • Artist: Jenny Burton, Julia Wade, Peter Link
  • Composer: Peter Link

  • Lyrics:

    It's All About Love
    Music by Peter Link
Words by Dora Redman and Peter Link

There was no room for us in the inn
And before he could close the door
    I begged and wept,
"There is no other place around
For my wife is with child
And she just needs a place to lie down"
But with a callused heart and without a care
Much to my despair he began to close the door
"Wait now, good sir! We cannot be denied.
For the child comes forth tonight
And if not a room the stable will do
And a candle to light our way
Oh please, good sir, find it in your heart
For we have not a place to stay"

But he could not allow a fire in the stable
And she could never give birth without light

    The light? the light!
    Do you see the light?
It comes down from the Heavens
    The star? The star!
    Do you see the star?
The star that lights the way?

    The song! The song!
Do you hear the voices of angels
    That sing in the night
    The hope! The wonder!
Can you not feel the promise?
Of the coming of the Son of God
It's in the air! It's everywhere!
It's in the air! It's everywhere!
    And It's all about love
    It's all about love

So, he let us go down to the stable
As he turned back inside the Inn
    As the night went on
The light it came down all around
    And the Shepherd boys prayed
And the wise men brought gifts from afar
And then the angels sang till the heavens rang
And the babe was born in the glory of that night
And the innkeeper stood in his window and watched
As the manger was bathed in light
And on that night with spirit reborn
In his heart he found love at last
With basket of bread and a jug of wine
He then joined us and shared his repast

    There was so much peace
    In this meek little place
And it beckoned to set his heart free.
So we all sang, the angels, the shepherds, the wise men,
    The innkeeper, Mary and me.

    The Child! The Child!
    Do you see the child?
That came down from the Heavens
    The Peace! The Peace!
    Do you feel the peace?
That flows on through his eyes
    The Song! The Song!
Do you hear the voices of angels?
    That sing in the dawn
    The hope! The wonder!
Can you not feel the promise?
Of the coming of the Son of God

    It's in the air! It's everywhere! x2
    And It's all about love,
Can you not feel the promise?
Yes it's in the air! It's everywhere! x2
    And It's all
    The hope, the wonder
    about love,

    It's in the air! It's everywhere! x2
    And It's all about love,
This my child, the Son Of God!
    Hallelujah!

    Silent Night
    German Lyrics by Joseph Mohr
English Translation by John Freeman Young

    Stille Nacht! Heil'ge Nacht!
    Alles schläft; einsam wacht
Nur das traute hoch heilige Paar.
    Holder Knab' im lockigen Haar,
    Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!
    Schlafe in himmlischer Ruh!

    Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
    Sleep in heavenly peace
    Sleep in heavenly peace

    Silent night, holy night!
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
    Jesus Lord, at Thy birth
    Jesus Lord, at Thy birth

    Take Me to a Christmas
Music and Lyrics by Jon Goldenthal

Take me to a Christmas not so long ago
When things weren't easy but things went slow
Except for the sleigh rides and running to see
Just what dear Santa had placed under the tree

And take me to a Christmas when the snow fell steep
And we'd listen for reindeer til we fell asleep

It must seem so silly now
If you have come to know
    Dreams that we hold onto
Sometimes need to be let go

But maybe I'll keep that thought
    How Christmas ought to be
A simpler time for you and me

And I recall a Christmas when I thought I knew
If I could stay awake for you-know-who
To come down the chimney and lay out the toys
And sneaking downstairs making barely a noise

So if you want a Christmas that is filled with awe
Over what you imagined, what you thought you saw
Don't let it seem silly now
If you have come to know
Some dreams that we hold onto
Sometimes need to be let go

But maybe I'll keep that thought
    How Christmas ought to be
A simpler time for you and me
A simpler time for you and me

    Take me to a Christmas
    Take me to a Christmas
    And we'll keep it simple
    For you and me
    Take me to a Christmas
    For you and me

You take me to a Christmas

    The Innkeeper's Wife

Music and Lyrics by Don Sebesky

‘Twas on a cold midwinter night a knock came at the door

A man and wife who far from home

For shelter did implore

The man concerned, the woman calm

    Her face serene and mild

And as I looked into her eyes

I saw she was with child

Oh, how my heart did weep to see them in their plight

On that cold midwinter night

But there was no room, no room, no room anywhere

In all of Bethlehem that night

There was no room left to spare

Except for the stable, the stable

Was the best that we could do

They thanked us saying good friends

May all God's blessings come to you
May his blessings come to you

All through the dark and lonely hours

I tried in vain to sleep

My thoughts were with the man and maid

And the vigil they did keep

As I looked out I saw a single star up in the sky

And as the dawn began to break, I heard a baby cry

    Oh, how my heart rejoiced
At the sound so clear and bright

    On that cold midwinter night

I quickly hastened from my bed to see that all was well

There were shepherds gathering in the fields

And on their knees they fell

    At the wonders they beheld

For there were angels, angels, angels hovering on high

Singing sweetly to the babe who on the straw did lie

And I saw three kings, three kings, all on bended knee

And as they gave their precious gifts
I moved closer to see

And the baby smiled at me

And there was no room, no room,
    I swear by stars above

There was no room left within my heart

For anything, not anything but love

    O come, O come, Emmanuel
Arr. by Marshall McDonald and Steven Sharp Nelson, adapted by Jon Schmidt

    O come, O come, Emmanuel
    And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the son of God appear
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, thou key of David, come,
    And open wide our heavenly home;
Make safe the way that leads on high,
And close the path to misery.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O come, O come, thou lord of might,
Who to thy tribes, on Sinai's height,
In ancient times did'st give the law,
In cloud, and majesty and awe.
    Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

    Christmas Song
Music and Lyrics by Don Rebic

    Merry Christmas all year through
    Visions of sugarplums, mistletoe too
    I've heard people say,
"What Christmas was, no longer is,"
They just can't find the way
To make each day feel like Christmas

    Merry Christmas to us all
Why can't mankind deck the halls
With peace and love to all God's children?
    Merry Christmas to you
When snowflakes fall and winter comes
I long for that special day

    Merry Christmas all year through
    Visions of sugarplums, mistletoe too
    I've heard people say,
"What Christmas was, no longer is,"
They just can't find the way
To make each day feel like Christmas

I wish us all a Merry Christmas
Why can't we deck the halls
With peace and love to all God's children?
    Merry Christmas to you
    Merry Christmas to you
    Merry Christmas

Why can't we deck the halls?
    Peace and love to all

    Merry Christmas to you
    Merry Christmas

The Night I Met St. Nick
Music and Lyrics by Peter Link

I was hiding ‘hind the sofa
When he came down the chimney
    Cuz I did not believe
He could ach-ally come down the chimney
But he came down the chimney
Just like they always said he would
    Uh hum yeah
With a grunt and a whoosh ... and kerplop!

It amazed me so, I forgot I was hiding
So, I stood up in amazement at a fat man in a red suit
With a scowl upon his face.
“What in tarnation are you doing up now
At this ungodly hour, young lady?”
He said as he texted on his iPhone back up North to his elf

“Well, Mr. Claus,” I replied, most polite,
“I guess I just had to see for myself!”

“Well now you’ve gone an’ done it!”
As he pulled out his list.

“Let’s see here uuuuuuhhhhh, you must be young Julie
    Is that right?”
    “Well, that’s right!” said I.
“Well you’re now in big trouble, sure as pie”

“I got a most busy schedule now you’re makin’ me late
Right now I oughta be back in my sled instead
So go ahead now ... an’ go back to bed!
And doncha be peekin’ through the keyhole.”

When I got up that morning — that Christmas morning—
There was nothing in my stocking but a lump of coal
    Rats

I woulda cried my eyes out, but remember, good people
    It was just a dream
    Just a dream ...
It was just a dream about the night I met St. Nick

I dunno if he was a saint, but he sure was cute!
OK, don’t go away. There’s more to this story.

Next Christmas Eve I was hidin’ again ‘hind the sofa
As he whooshed down the chimney
    “I remember you,
    You’re that girl, you’re Julie,”
    That’s right, cutie pie.
“You were trouble from the git go
An’ now you’re back again, my friend.
    Uh hum yeah
This ain’t right an’ it’s just got to stop”

“Only this time ach-ally I’m kinda glad ta’ see ya’,
I’m a little bit stuck here
Got a flat tire on a reindeer
An’ I’m plum done outta spares.”

Who ever heard of such a thing like that?
    Well now remember, good people
    It was just a dream
    Just a dream …
It was just a dream about another night I met St. Nick

I never promised it would make much sense.

So I grabbed him my ol’ trusty bicycle pump
An’ we went swoosh up the chimney in a flash

And there stood Dasher, Dancer, Prancer an’ the others
I fixed that ol’ flat tire in the blink of a lash
An’ old Saint Nick was off like a shot

He’s shoutin’ “Merry Merry Christmas” across the sky
“To all a Happy Happy New Year”
    He never looked back
    He never said thanks
He just disappeared into the clouds

Hold on, just wait a minute, Santa!
Here I am stuck on the roof!
An’ no way I’m goin’ back down that chimney
It’s too darn dirty an’ I just don’t have it in me
An’ besides you never even said thank you

When I got up that morning — that Christmas morning —
My stocking was filled to the brim and overflowing
    Presents in the kitchen
    Presents in the bath tub
Presents in the attic and presents in the shed
And even one more under the pillow in my bed.

I coulda cried my eyes out
At all the presents he left me
    But then again my friend
    It was just a dream
It was just a dream about the night I met
    Or was it?
    Nah …
It was just a dream about the night I met St. Nick

  • Lyrics:

    Alleluia

    Composer Rick Vale
    Lyrics Rick Vale

Who wrote the song of the stars in the sky, the song of the earth and sea?
Who told the trees of the field to begin dancing the dance of the free?
He is my Father and His is the song made for the soul to recall
Here is His signature painted with love deep in the heart of us all

    Alleluia, alleluia

There is no planet or star in the sky nor wave of the ocean and sea
That does not sing out of the way and the truth and the life that has set the song free
So sing from your heart where His mystery lies, sing for the life that He gave
Sing from the mind He has filled with His own, sing from the soul He has saved

    Alleluia, alleluia

With my heart and soul, mind and strength I will sing
It's the song of every heart touched by the King

    Alleluia, alleluia
