I felt his pain and agony
Along the way to the cross
But couldn’t feel the love of God
When it all seemed like a loss
Then I felt the Angel’s breath
As she overcame all death
She gathered my hurt beneath her wings
And she softly opened me

I feel God’s skillful fingers
