Once a sower went out with seeds
And tossed them everywhere
A bunch fell right along the path
And birds were quickly there
Other seeds fell freely
Along the rocky way
But no soil means no roots
They died by end of day
Other seeds found the prickly thorns
And grew so very fast
But struggled and were soon choked
So none of them did last
Then some seeds found good soil
And all that they did need
They grew so big and strong
And happy to succeed
Seeds in good rich soil
Will prosper and delight
God’s words are like the seeds
Abundant full of might
Such power in a grain
Such depth within a height
A small seed has great strength
When given love and light
The Sower’s story told by Christ
Where God’s words are the seeds
Is meant for us to understand
And show in our good deeds
Don’t let His words get lost
Or choked by challenges
Dig deep to understand
Accept the messages
Your word, your seeds can grow
To trees that make more seeds
Seeds in good rich soil
Will prosper and delight
God’s words are like the seeds
Abundant full of might
Such power in a grain
Such depth within a height
A small seed has great strength
When given love and light
Seeds make yet more seeds
Like God’s words bringing infinite good
Increasing day by day
Even thirty
Even sixty
Even a hundred-fold
