Meet the all-star cast of New York actors from Broadway, television, the movies and beyond.  Over 16 episodes, Michael Tucker, Julia Wade, Steve Blanchard, and Judy McLane lead a cast of 19 actors featuring special guest appearances by Don Scardino, Wayne Duvall, Patrick Ryan Sullivan, Jenny Burton, and Terry Burrell.  Melvin Abston, Michelle Liu Coughlin and Martin Sola form a most special trio of characters.  Natalie Toro, Robert Montano, Jan Horvath, Patrick Jude, Carolee Goodgold and Emily Bindiger each bring further soulful and colorful characters to this Re-Imagining of The Greatest Story Ever Told!

Michael Tucker (God)
Michael Tucker — He has acted over the last fifty years in theater, TV and film, most notably in the TV Series, L.A. Law.  His 8-year stint on the popular NBC-TV drama brought him three Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe nominations.  Michael’s film credits include Woody Allen’s Radio Days and The Purple Rose of Cairo, Barry Levinson’s Diner and Tin Men, Paul Mazursky’s An Unmarried Woman” Lina Wertmuller’s A Night Full of Rain, “The Eyes of Laura Mars, Network, Checking Out. For Love or Money with Michael J. Fox, Mighty Ducks II, a Disney hit, and Till There Was You with Jean Tripplehorn.

Julia Wade (Thyme Quinn)
Julia Wade — Hailed by a critic as “the female equivalent of Josh Groban,” Julia has performed internationally in concerts, opera, and musical theater including The Rome Opera, Teatro Massimo and Carnegie Hall.  She has recorded 15 solo albums with producer Peter Link, and with various artists including Judy McLane, Steve Blanchard, Cynthia Clawson, Jan Horvath, Chieli Minucci and Georgia Engel.  Julia co-starred in Off-Broadway theatrical concert “IS ANYBODY LISTENING?” with Jenny Burton and won Best Featured Actress in a Musical, (Broadway World) as Red in the West Coast Premiere of THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE by Iris Rainer Dart, Mike Stoller and Artie Butler. Also: Guinevere (CAMELOT), The White Witch (NARNIA), Eve (HOTEL EDEN), Sutton (LADY IN THE DARK).

Steve Blanchard (Josiah Washburn)
Steve Blanchard — Television: The Other Two, Prodigal Son, New Amsterdam, Tommy, The Enemy Within, House Of Cards, Madam Secretary, The Good Fight, and Law & Order. Film: Newsies: The Broadway Musical, Cover Me, When The Moon Was Twice As Big, Mr Sam, and The Ill-Fated Knight. Broadway: The Three Musketeers, Camelot, and Beauty and the Beast. Off- Broadway: Johnny Guitar, Frankenstein, and Treasure Island. National Tours: Newsies, The Little Mermaid, Camelot, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, and Little House on the Prairie. He can be heard on the original recordings of Johnny Guitar, Sundown, Frankenstein, and his own CD, Northbound Train.

Judy McLane (Lizzie Cranbottom)
Judy McLane — performed over 4000 shows of Mamma Mia! on Broadway, starring as both Donna and Tanya, making her the longest running lead in Mamma Mia! history. Judy received critical acclaim creating the role of Camille in Romeo and Bernadette, garnering an Outer Critic’s Circle Award, Other Broadway credits: Kiss of the Spider Woman performing duets with Chita Rivera, Aspects of Love, and Chess. National and International tours: The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Donny Osmond, Mrs. Baskin in Big, and Side By Side By Sondheim directed by Rob Marshall.

Peter Link (Gabriel/Gabe)
Peter Link — won the NY DRAMA DESK AWARD for SALVATION, out of which came his first Gold Record, IF YOU LET ME MAKE LOVE TO YOU, THEN WHY CAN’T I TOUCH YOU? which sold over two million records.  He is a two-time Tony Award Nominee for his musical scores of Joseph Papp’s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and Neil Simon’s THE GOOD DOCTOR.  Mr. Link also served as Composer-in-Residence at the New York Shakespeare Festival for seven years writing music for over 30 productions.  His Broadway credits include ULYSSES IN NIGHTTOWN (Zero Mostel), LYSISTRATA (Melina Mercouri), THE MIGHTY GENTS (Morgan Freeman), and KING OF HEARTS. He composed, produced and directed THE JENNY BURTON EXPERIENCE to sold out audiences for seven years in New York.  The group swept all the major cabaret awards for BEST VOCAL GROUP including The Critics Choice Award and The MAC Award.  He is the proud producer of 15 albums for vocalist, JULIA WADE.

Martin  Solá​  (Dr. Alfredo Encarnacion)
Martín Solá — is a New York City-based actor, singer, and teacher. He has appeared on Broadway in “On Your Feet”, “The King and I”, “Coram Boy”, and Baz Luhrmann’s “La Bohème”. Martín portrays Father Russo in the recent NETFLIX series ARCHIVE 81. Other TV credits include FBI, LAW AND ORDER SVU, and HOSTAGES. Martín has taught singing to his private voice studio in NYC for more than 20 years, and he just completed his first year as a voice instructor at Yale University School of Music.

Michelle Liu Coughlin   (Zwei Xiang)
Michelle Liu Coughlin — Michelle is an actress, singer, and producer who has performed in theatrical productions at City Center, Playwrights Horizons, The York Theatre Company, The Barrow Group Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, and The Boomerang Theatre Company. She toured with Lincoln Center’s National Company of The King and I, , and has appeared at many other regional theatres including Arena Stage, The Kennedy Center, Kansas City Starlight, among many others.

Terry Burrell (Mama)
Terry Burrell — Her one woman show “ETHEL” was last seen at The Alliance Theatre in Atlanta Ga Spring of 2016.  BROADWAY: Three Penny Opera; Thoroughly Modern Millie; Swinging On A Star; Into The Woods; Just So Stories; Dreamgirls; Honky Tonk Nights; Eubie; Show Boat (London 1998 Original Cast). NATIONAL TOURS: Copacabana; Grand Night For Singing; Bubbling Brown Sugar; Showboat, Eubie. Melvin Abston (Dikke Matumbah)
Melvin Abston — his favorite on stage performances include Broadway’s Sister Act, Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical, Disney’s The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, as well as MLK in All The Way and David in James Baldwin’s The Amen Corner.  Melvin was seen in the current season of NBC’s long running drama “Law & Order: SVU”.  Other television appearances include CBS’s “Blue Bloods”, FOX’s “Gotham”, “Touch” and “Raising Hope”, Disney XD’s “I’m In The Band” among many others

Patrick Ryan Sullivan (Bishop Goodspeed)
Patrick Ryan Sullivan — Broadway: Beauty And The Beast (Gaston), 42nd Street (Julain Marsh), Titanic (Barrett, Bride, Farrell) Regional: Antony And Cleopatra (Antony). Carolee Goodgold (Abigail)
Carolee Goodgold — can be heard both singing and speaking on countless commercials for Cingular, Cheerios, and Verizon and many more.  As a singer she has performed and recorded with Larry Gatlin, Cher, Carly Simon, Keely Smith, Sandi Patty, Rosanne Cash, The Chieftains, Jenny Burton and Marie Osmond to name a few. As an actress she starred off-broadway  in “Opa”, and was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical.

Jan Horvath (Martha) 
Jan Horvath — is a veteran of 5 Broadway shows including the original Broadway company of The Phantom of the Opera where she performed the roles of Christine and Carlotta. Other Broadway credits include The Threepenny Opera starring Sting; Sweet Charity directed by Bob Fosse; Oliver! and Stardust.  As a symphonic concert soloist, Jan has performed with well over 130 orchestras around the world.

Emily Bindiger (Dorothy)
Emily Bindiger — is a NY singer who has performed on hundreds of recordings as well as on concert stages worldwide with such diverse artists as Leonard Cohen, George Benson, Neil Sedaka, Aztec Two-Step, Joan Osborne, Lou Reed, Steve Van Zandt The Klezmatics, Lesley Gore, Ronnie Spector, and Carole King, among others. A producer, songwriter, contractor, teacher, and vocal arranger, she was also a proud member of the multi-award-winning a cappella group, The Accidentals.

Patrick Jude (Rufus) 
PATRICK JUDE — has the distinction of being among the first American artists to debut the music of Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice in his role as Judas in the original Broadway  production of “JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR”.  He costarred with Antonio Fargas in the national tour of the Pulitzer Prize winning play, “NO PLACE TO BE SOMEBODY”.  In addition his Broadway credits include “MARLOWE”, “THE NEWS”, “CHARLIE & ALGERNON”,  “GOTTU GO DISCO” and  “BROADWAY SOUL”.  Patrick has a gold album for the movie “Beat Street”, in which he performed a duet with Jenny Burton.      

Wayne Duvall (Morgan Abernathy/Trucker)
Wayne Duvall — Theatre credits include Broadway: 1984; Off-Broadway: Big River and Of Thee Sing (Encores), The Legend of Georgia McBride (MCC Theater); RegionalTheater: Swept Away (Berkeley Rep), The Cake (La Jolla Playhouse), Pride in the Falls of Autrey Mill (Signature Theatre), Bright Star and Working (The Old Globe), Bonnie and Clyde (Asolo Rep and La Jolla). Film credits include: A Quiet Place 2, The Trial of The Chicago 7, The Hunt, Werewolves Within, Richard Jewell, The Kitchen, American Animals, Wolves, Hello My Name Is Frank, Prisoners, Lincoln, Edge of Darkness, Duplicity, Leatherheads, In the Valley of Elah, Pride and Glory, Love Liza, O’ Brother Where Art Thou?, Hard Rain; The Fan, Apollo 13.

Natalie Toro (Maria)
Natalie Toro — On Broadway, Natalie originated the role of Madame Defarge in A TALE OF TWO CITIES, (Sarasota Magazine’s Best Supporting Actress Award) She was the first American to play the role of Eponine in LES MISERABLES and originated the role of Sally in Alan Menken’s, A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Paramount in NYC. She was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for her portrayal of Eva Peron in the 20th Anniversary Tour of EVITA. In National Touring companies, she played Mary Magdalene in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Grizabella in CATS and Camila, in IN THE HEIGHTS.

Robert Montano (Jose)
Robert Montano — He had the pleasure of working with the legendary, Chita Rivera in Kiss Of The Spiderwoman, as well as her act, Chita Plus Two… he sang and danced with Peter Allen in Legs Diamond, and starred as Ozzie in On The Town, directed by George C. Wolfe. Film: He appeared in “Shame” with Michael Fassbender. Played opposite Mark Wahlberg and Joaquin Phoenix in “The Yards.” Partnered Catherine Zeta – Jones in, “Chicago.” In television: he’s guest starred on: City On A Hill, Bull, Prodigal Son, Blue Bloods, NCIS: New Orleans, Elementary, Search Party, Sex In The City, CSI: Miami, Law & Order.

Jenny Burton (Elvira)
Jenny Burton — In the late 80s and early 90s Burton had four national number one R&B/Dance hits. She has to her credits as well two gold records from films — Harry Belafonte’s Beat Street and White Nights starring Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov. She created with producer/composer Peter Link, The Jenny Burton Experience, an award winning Inspirational group that ran for seven years to sold out standing room only audiences in New York.

Don Scardino (Ramon Rodriguez)
Don Scardino — As an actor he appeared off Broadway, most notably as Jesus in GODSPELL, and starred in the Broadway musicals ANGEL, KING OF HEARTS, and I’M GETTING MY ACT TOGETHER. On television he produced 5 seasons of 30 ROCK (NBC), directing 38 episodes, and was awarded 2 Emmys and the Producer’s Guild Award. He has directed and/or produced multiple episodes of ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING (Hulu), BROKE GIRLS (CBS), THE WEST WING (NBC), LAW & ORDER (NBC), and many more.

  1. Sam and I finished the rest of the episodes, and it was so well done; great voices in acting and singing. Loved the characters (even the bad guys), and especially loved the ending, which was a delightful surprise.
