    Upon the Mountain
Music and Lyrics by Peter Link

    East of the sun
    And west of the moon
    Outside time
    And beyond all space
    There is Truth
And then there's all the rest
    There is Truth
And then there's all the rest

    How do you find it
    How do you get there
How can you possibly break through

You start by going to the secret place
    The innermost points of control
The deepest recesses of your inner space
The still point of your soul

    Where matter doesn't matter
And Mind is all in all
And Truth pours forth like a fountain
    Where darkness is not known
And light is all there is
And it's simply you and God
    Upon the mountain

    Upon the mountain

    East of the sun
    And west of the moon
    Outside time
    And beyond all space

    East of the sun
    And west of the moon
    Outside time
    And beyond all space

    There is Truth
And then there's all the rest

And it's simply you and God
    Upon the mountain

    When they crucified my lord
    Were you there
When they nailed him to the tree
    Were you there
When they nailed him to the tree
    Oh sometimes it causes me
    To tremble tremble tremble
    Were you there
When they nailed him to the tree

    Woman on a Train
Music and Lyrics by Peter Link
Based on a story by Julia Wade

I met a woman on the train
Usually the conversation skirts the mundane
Usually I find a seat apart from all the people
    But I can't complain
About the night I met a woman on the train

I show her my Kindle on the train
She sits in rapt amazement while I explain
She admits to me she's 83 and looks much younger
    But I sense her pain
As the night rolls on behind us on the train

I tell her I sing every weekend
    At a church in Boston
She confesses to being a Cath'lic
And that she finds me a little odd

She says she told her children
To go and find their own truth
    I look into her eyes
And give my new/old friend a nod
She says, "Oh honey, we all are children of God"
Oh honey, we all are children of God

We talk a lifetime on the train
    The veils of social prudence
    No longer pertain
Funny how we open up so quick
    To perfect strangers
    But I can't complain
All because we shared two lifetimes
    On the train

I tell her of all my regrets
    Of never raising children
She admits to her rash impatience
And that she should have spared the rod

We both look out the window
    And accept our imperfections
    I look into her eyes
And give my new/old friend a nod
She says, "Oh honey, we all are children of God"
Oh honey, we all are children of God

    New York to Boston
    Boston to New York
Trains have a way of putting a stop on time
No one grows any older on a train
    A perfect stranger
    Sleeps head on my shoulder
    The sleeping train gets quiet
    The car a little colder
    Mile after mile
With her head upon my shoulder
And I dare not move a muscle
    Lest she wake
    This woman on a train

The Night I Met St. Nick
Music and Lyrics by Peter Link

I was hiding ‘hind the sofa
When he came down the chimney
    Cuz I did not believe
He could ach-ally come down the chimney
But he came down the chimney
Just like they always said he would
    Uh hum yeah
With a grunt and a whoosh ... and kerplop!

It amazed me so, I forgot I was hiding
So, I stood up in amazement at a fat man in a red suit
With a scowl upon his face.
“What in tarnation are you doing up now
At this ungodly hour, young lady?”
He said as he texted on his iPhone back up North to his elf

“Well, Mr. Claus,” I replied, most polite,
“I guess I just had to see for myself!”

“Well now you’ve gone an’ done it!”
As he pulled out his list.

“Let’s see here uuuuuuhhhhh, you must be young Julie
    Is that right?”
    “Well, that’s right!” said I.
“Well you’re now in big trouble, sure as pie”

“I got a most busy schedule now you’re makin’ me late
Right now I oughta be back in my sled instead
So go ahead now ... an’ go back to bed!
And doncha be peekin’ through the keyhole.”

When I got up that morning — that Christmas morning—
There was nothing in my stocking but a lump of coal
    Rats

I woulda cried my eyes out, but remember, good people
    It was just a dream
    Just a dream ...
It was just a dream about the night I met St. Nick

I dunno if he was a saint, but he sure was cute!
OK, don’t go away. There’s more to this story.

Next Christmas Eve I was hidin’ again ‘hind the sofa
As he whooshed down the chimney
    “I remember you,
    You’re that girl, you’re Julie,”
    That’s right, cutie pie.
“You were trouble from the git go
An’ now you’re back again, my friend.
    Uh hum yeah
This ain’t right an’ it’s just got to stop”

“Only this time ach-ally I’m kinda glad ta’ see ya’,
I’m a little bit stuck here
Got a flat tire on a reindeer
An’ I’m plum done outta spares.”

Who ever heard of such a thing like that?
    Well now remember, good people
    It was just a dream
    Just a dream …
It was just a dream about another night I met St. Nick

I never promised it would make much sense.

So I grabbed him my ol’ trusty bicycle pump
An’ we went swoosh up the chimney in a flash

And there stood Dasher, Dancer, Prancer an’ the others
I fixed that ol’ flat tire in the blink of a lash
An’ old Saint Nick was off like a shot

He’s shoutin’ “Merry Merry Christmas” across the sky
“To all a Happy Happy New Year”
    He never looked back
    He never said thanks
He just disappeared into the clouds

Hold on, just wait a minute, Santa!
Here I am stuck on the roof!
An’ no way I’m goin’ back down that chimney
It’s too darn dirty an’ I just don’t have it in me
An’ besides you never even said thank you

When I got up that morning — that Christmas morning —
My stocking was filled to the brim and overflowing
    Presents in the kitchen
    Presents in the bath tub
Presents in the attic and presents in the shed
And even one more under the pillow in my bed.

I coulda cried my eyes out
At all the presents he left me
    But then again my friend
    It was just a dream
It was just a dream about the night I met
    Or was it?
    Nah …
It was just a dream about the night I met St. Nick

    Psalm
    Music by Peter Link
    Lyrics by King David

How Precious are your thoughts oh God
How great is the sum of them how grand
If I could count them all oh God
They are more in number than the sand

Whither shall I go from thy spirit
Or whither shall I flee from thy care
If I ascend up into heaven
    You are there
    You are there
And if I make my bed with the devil
    Behold
    You are there
    In the halls of heaven
    You are there
    Watching over me

If I take the wings of the morning
    And I dwell
In the uttermost parts of the sea
Even there your left hand shall lead me
And your right shall always hold to me
    For you are there
    You are there
    On the wings of morning
    You are there
    Always holding me

If I say surely the darkness
    Shall cover me
Even the night shall light my way
Yea the darkness cannot hide from thee
But with you the night shines as the day
    And I will praise thee
For I am fearfully and wonderfully made
    Yes I will praise thee
For I am fearfully and wonderfully made

How marvelous are thy works oh God
And that my soul knows right well

How precious are your thoughts oh God
How great is the sum of them how grand
If I could count them all oh God
They are more in number than the sand
They are more in number than the sand
They are more in number than the sand
They are more in number than the sand
They are more in number than the sand
They are more in number than the sand

    Satisfied

    Lyrics by Mary Baker Eddy
    Music by Peter Link

It matters not what be thy lot,
    So Love doth guide;
    For storm or shine,
    pure peace is thine,
    What-e’er betide.

And of these stones, or tyrants’ thrones,
    God able is
To raise up seed—in thought and deed—
    To faithful His.

Aye, darkling sense, arise, go hence!
    Our God is good.
False fears are foes—truth tatters those,
    When understood.

Love looseth thee, and lifteth me,
    Ayont hate’s thrall:
    There Life is light,
    and wisdom might,
    And God is All.

    The centuries break,
    the earth-bound wake,
    God’s glorified!
Who doth His will—His likeness still—
    Is satisfied.

    On My Way to You
Music and Lyrics by Michel LeGrand and Alan & Marilyn Bergman

So often as I wait for sleep
    I find myself reciting
The words I've said or should have said
    Like scenes that need rewriting

    The smiles I never answered
Doors perhaps I should have opened
    Songs forgotten in the morning

I relive the roles I've played
The tears I may have squandered
The many pipers I have paid
    Along the roads I've wandered

Yet all the time I knew it
Love was somewhere out there waiting
Though I may regret a kiss or two

If I had changed a single day
What went amiss or went astray
I may have never found my way to you

It happens so often as I wait for sleep…

And all the time I knew it
Love was somewhere out there waiting
Though I may regret a kiss or two

If I had changed a single day
What went amiss or went astray
I would not change a thing that happened
    On my way to you

    Apacienta mis Ovejas
    Feed My Sheep

Texto inglés por Mary Baker Eddy
    Música por Peter Link

    La colina, di, Pastor,
    cómo he de subir;
    cómo a Tu rebaño yo
    debo apacentar.
    Fiel Tu voz escucharé,
    para nunca errar;
    y con gozo seguiré
    por el duro andar.

    La colina, di, Pastor,
    cómo he de subir.

    Lo rebelde rendirás,
    lo cruel herirás;
de su sueño al mundo habrás
    Tú de despertar.
    Extranjero en playa hostil,
    lucho con afán;
por la puerta entro al fin,
    y me aceptarás.

    La colina, di, Pastor
    cómo he de subir.

    En el triunfo o dolor,
    o en la oscuridad,
    guía a Tu rebaño hoy
    hacia Ti, Señor.
Sana el alma y danos pan
    hasta ver la luz;
    blancos Tus corderos van
    tras de Ti, Pastor.

    ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Shepherd, show me how to go
    O’er the hillside steep,
How to gather, how to sow,—
    How to feed Thy sheep;
I will listen for Thy voice,
    Lest my footsteps stray;
    I will follow and rejoice
    All the rugged way.

Shepherd, show me how to go
    O’er the hillside steep.

Thou wilt bind the stubborn will,
    Wound the callous breast,
    Make self-righteousness be still,
    Break earth’s stupid rest.
    Strangers on a barren shore,
    Lab’ring long and lone,
We would enter by the door,
    And Thou know’st Thine own;

Shepherd, show me how to go
    O’er the hillside steep.

So, when day grows dark and cold,
    Tear or triumph harms,
Lead Thy lambkins to the fold,
    Take them in Thine arms;
Feed the hungry, heal the heart,
    Till the morning’s beam;
White as wool, ere they depart,
    Shepherd, wash them clean.

    Bird Song
Music and Lyrics by Peter Link

    Silver bird fly
    Spiritual bird sing
    Bird song
    The Christ is born
    Spread the word
    Let fly
    The song of peace
    Sweet release
    Sail on silver bird
    Across the world
    Spread the word
    A new age dawns
    As the silver bird streaks
    Across the red sun
    Across the rising sun

    Sail on silver bird
    Across the world
    Sail on little bird
    And take this message
    That the son of God
Has joined us on this earth
And brings us nothing but the good word

    It’s the word of God
    He brings to all
    It’s a kind of peace
    That lasts forever
    It’s a love that radiates
    From one to one another
    Never fading away

Sail and sing your song, Bird
As you soar among the mountains
As you wind along the rivers of life
    Sing it to each heart
Sing into the mind of mankind

    Silver bird fly
    From this stable
    Humble
    Where Christ is born
    Spread the word
    Go forth
    His Kingdom come
    A pendulum
    Back and forth between
    The prophesy
    And the unforeseen
    The time has come
    A new age dawns
And the world will now change
    From one of sorrow
    To one abounding hope

    Sail on silver bird
    Across the world
    Sail on little bird
    And take this message
    That the son of God
Has joined us on this earth
And brings us nothing but the good word

Sail and sing your song, Bird
As you wing your way through cities
Through the masses and the chaos of life
    Sing it to each soul
Sing it to the shambles of man

    Silver bird fly
    Unto the people
    Tell them
    The Christ is born
    Silver bird fly
    And sing your song
    The Christ is born
    This Christmas morn
    The Christ is born
    This Christmas morn
    The Christ is born
    This Christmas morn
    The Christ is born
