Andrew D. Brewis

Singer/Songwriter Andrew D. Brewis has recently concentrated on writing inspirational and religious music for use in church and worship services. To date he has released three inspirational CDs: “Songburst”, “Gracenotes” and now his new release, “Upbeats”, with his recording partnership, The Newsong Group.

Andrew’s catalogue of sheet music comes from these three albums. There’s something for everyone in this range of beautiful ballads, upbeat worship melodies, and lyrical contemporary pieces. Andrew is known for writing moving, original melodies, which touch the heart through their simplicity. Indeed, they are immensely singable. All sheet music also contains guitar chords.

Martin Broones

Martin Broones, (1901 – 1971) had a comprehensive background in the world of music, in theatre, in motion pictures, radio, and television. He wrote the scores for many musical comedies which were produced in New York, London, and Paris, and he organized and directed the first Music Department in Hollywood for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. His musical styles range from Classical to Broadway to the Hollywood film scoring of the 1940- 50’s. He was also a devout spiritual thinker and his sacred songs reflect his joyful spirituality.

Philip Fortenberry

One day when he was four years old, responding to an urge he still can’t explain, Philip Fortenberry knew he just had to play the piano.

“When I sat down at the piano,” Philip recalls, “I immediately started playing music. Songs I had heard before, songs I had in my head, even songs I had not yet heard.”

By the time he was seven, Philip was playing well enough to take over as church pianist when the minister and his piano-playing wife moved away. His father, sitting in church and listening to his seven-year-old son playing like an adult, leaned over to his wife and said, “I guess it’s time to get Philip some lessons.” So they did.

Today, decades later, Philip is still responding to that initial urge… hearing music in his head…feeling it in his bones…expressing it through his fingers almost as if they are following a musical score of their own— unwritten, spontaneous, original.

Philip plays a wide range of genres though his music centers around sacred and new age.
